Milliarium Cellars strikes Double-Gold
June 5, 2009
Winery wins medals with their inaugural wines Santa Rosa, California – Milliarium Cellars is proud to
announce the bestowing of double-gold and silver medals upon their Sonoma Coast
and Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noirs. These
inaugural wines received this honor in the 2009 West Coast Wine Competition.
Although a new kid on the proverbial block, Milliarium
Cellars is clearly carving out their own space in the boutique wine
industry. “From our inception, our
focus has been on creating wines of distinction and high quality,” states John
Zielinski, proprietor of Milliarium Cellars.
“These awards validate our commitment to the pursuit of perfection in a
glass.”
The Milliarium Cellars 2007 Sonoma Coast selection, sourced
from the small Split Rock Vineyard, offers a well-balanced wine showcasing
flavors of strawberries, raspberries and cherries with an acidic backbone
perfectly harmonized by lush tannins and a lingering finish on the palate. Notable for its black fruit aromas, the 2007
La Encantada vineyard Pinot Noir from Sta. Rita Hills couples flavors of cola
and spice, complemented by dark cherry undertones, with bold tannins and a
pleasing structure.
The 2007 growing season is being heralded by many in the
wine industry as an exceptional year for California Pinot Noir. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience
these award winning wines from this up and coming producer. Whether a celebration with family and friends
or simply a glass of fine wine over a meal, Milliarium Cellars wines will
provide an experience to savor.
