If you are a friend or follower of “SFWA”, you are most likely aware of the fabulous wineries our organization is comprised of.

If you are new to SFWA and our member wineries, and you love discovering fantastic award-winning, limited production wines, then you are in for a real wine lovers treat!

The San Francisco Wine Association is a consortium of boutique, family-owned wineries that produce small lots of hand-crafted fine wines. Rather than spend lavish sums on large chateaus, sparkling waterfalls and fancy tasting rooms, SFWA member wineries invest in the finest grapes, cutting-edge wine-making equipment, outstanding winemakers and the time needed to develop small lots of exceptional wine. In what many consider a natural extension of the sustainability movement, these wines are produced by very passionate vintners totally focused on quality, not quantity.

The SFWA winemaking model is similar to that of many other premium wine producers. Our member wineries secure superb fruit from some of the best-known vineyards in California, Oregon, and Washington. They employ renowned winemakers which crush, barrel, blend and bottle smaller quantities of premium wines for you to savor and enjoy! The goal is not to turn out massive amounts of product, but instead, the best “juice” possible. The dedicated vintners of SFWA represent some of the best emerging brands in the industry.
